Edna Perry, Faith Hill's mother, has died. She was 80 years old.

Perry, a resident of Star, Miss., passed away on Sunday (Oct. 30), at St. Dominic Hospital in nearby Jackson, Miss. At the time of her death, she and her husband, Wesley L. "Ted" Perry, had been married 59 years.

Hill, whose real name is Audrey Faith Perry, was adopted by the Perrys as an infant. In addition to Hill, husband Tim McGraw and their daughters Gracie, Maggie and Audrey, Edna Perry is survived by her sons Wesley and Steve; their wives Alicia and Debby, respectively; a number of grandchildren and their spouses; two great-grandchildren; sisters Paula and Sara; and her brother, Pat.

"While this is a difficult time for our family, we rejoice in knowing that she is in Heaven and no longer suffering," Hill writes on Instagram. "Thank you all for the kind words and prayers."

A visitation for Perry was held on Monday (Oct. 31), from 5PM until 8PM, at the Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence, Miss. Funeral details were not released in Perry's obituary, as the service will be private.

Those looking to make a donation in Perry's memory are being asked to contribute to the renovation fund for the Star Baptist Church Children's Wing; Perry's obituary contains details about how to donate.

In the weeks before her mother's death, Hill and husband McGraw had been busy in their careers: The pair recently received stars on the Music City Walk of Fame and, during a sold-out “surprise” concert at the Ryman Auditorium, announced that they will be hitting the road in 2017 for a co-headlining tour. McGraw is also nominated for a number of CMA Awards during the 2016 ceremony, which is set to take place on Wednesday (Nov. 2).
