The field of candidates for the job of Lafayette Parish School Superintendent has been narrowed down to three.

School Board members voted to make two local individuals and one from Baton Rouge finalists for the job.

The candidates chosen were former Erath High School principal Francis Touchet, the superintendent of St. Mary Parish schools, Don Aguillard who is also a former educator and administrator in Lafayette Parish, and the board chose the assistant superintendent of East Baton Rouge Carlos Sam.

All three will be interviewed on April 22 by the school board.
