Tuesday, April 3, New York filmmakers Michael Tucker and Petra Epperlein will be in Lafayette for a special showing of "Fightville", which will later hit theaters on April 20.  The new documentary was filmed for over two years in Lafayette and it captures the exclusive MMA talent through the eyes of local promoter, Gil Guillory and rise of UFC star, Dustin Poirier.

Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier and his mentor UFC vetern "Crazy" Tim Credeur, compete in the proving grounds of MMA to excel to the top.  Directed by Petra Epperlein and Michael Tucker, "Fightville" explores the art and sport of martial arts.  The film focuses on the Louisiana fight scene and everything that makes the sport so unique.  "This is not another film about MMA," says Tucker. "This is a film about what it takes to be the best at anything and we hope that Fightville will introduce a new audience to the beauty and passion of the sport."

The premiere will be showing at The Grand 16 at 8 p.m. on April 3.  The directors and stars of "Fightville" will be in attendance for interviews.
