A fisherman from the Phillipines was working 10 years ago when he spotted a huge pearl inside a giant clam. And of course he did what any of us would've done -- he stashed it under his bed for good luck!

The pearl has been tucked away for the last 10 years. But there was a fire at his place earlier this year and he had to move. At that point he decided to see if the pearl was worth something.

Uh, yeah, it was valued at a penny or two. Try about $100 million!

The pearl is 77 pounds. It's 26 inches long and 12 inches wide. Both of those measurements make it the biggest pearl in the history of the world, and by a huge margin.

The current world record for the biggest pearl is the Pearl of Allah, which was also found off the coast of the Philippines. It's only 14 pounds and it's less than 10 inches long.

This new pearl is being authenticated now and ole boy from the Phillipines probably gets to go on vacation in a week or two for a decade or two.
