Five teams from the Acadiana area remain alive in the LHSAA football playoffs, with all traveling for road games, as quarterfinal and semifinal round action takes place on Friday evening.

In the non-select brackets, which enters the quarterfinal round, three teams from the Acadiana area still have state championship aspirations, with all three taking to the road tonight.

In Class 5A, one team from the Acadiana area remains, as 15th-seeded Acadiana will travel to take on 10th-seeded Mandeville.

Three of the top four seeds are still alive, but only five of the top ten.

 

In Class 4A, no teams from the local area remain, as the top six seeds have held true through two rounds.

 

In Class 3A, 11th-seeded Jennings will be on the road to take on 3rd-seeded Amite, as four of the top five seeds have advanced.

 

In Class 2A, all of the teams from the Acadiana area have been eliminated, as the top five seeds have all advanced.

 

In Class A, fifth-seeded Basile will travel to 4th-seeded Kentwood, as the top eight seeds have all moved on to to quarterfinal round.

 

In the select brackets, which will enter semifinal play, two teams from the Acadiana area remain alive, with one local school hosting.

In Division I, there are no local schools left, with the top two seeds still in contention.

 

In Division II, fourth-seeded Notre Dame will be on the road to take on top-seeded University Lab, with three of the top four seeds still alive.

 

In Division III, #1 Catholic High-New Iberia will travel to #5 Newman, as three of the top four seeds have advanced to semifinal play.

 

Finally, in Division IV, all of the Acadiana area teams have been eliminated, as only one of the top four seeds are still playing.
