To die hard fans, it will always be 'Fan Fair', but the biggest and most historic country music festival is now called 'CMA Music Fest'. This year will mark my 25th trek to Nashville for the festivities, and I'm just as excited as I was in 1992 when I first started attending.

It has changed a lot. When I first started going, everything was held at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds, but it soon outgrew that rickety old place and is now spread out all over downtown Nashville. The big nightly concerts are at Nissan Stadium, where the Tennessee Titans play. 350,000 people from over 30 countries come to listen to their favorite artists, get pictures and autographs, and go to Fan Club parties and events It's awesome!!!

In 1991 Vince Gill was a big star, and his go to background vocalist was the lovely Miss Patty Loveless. Vince is now a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, and we haven't heard new music from Patty Loveless in awhile, but she is a Grammy and CMA winner who is still beloved by many. They teamed up to sing 'When I Call Your Name' at Fan Fair in 1991, and I wanted to share. It's still an unbelievably great song, and a reminder of why I love country music so much. I can't wait for June 8-11th!!!
