Former Abbeville Mayor Brady Broussard Passes Away After Bout With Cancer

Former Abbeville Mayor Brady Broussard, whose time in office spanned three decades, has died from cancer.

According to our news partners at KATC, the memorial service for Broussard, who served the city from 1986 to 2002, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Magdalen Church.

Broussard had many accomplishments in Abbeville. He began the downtown Christmas lighting program and the Boys and Girls Club in Abbeville, among many other accomplishments.

He was 82.
