Former Cajun Farquhar Called Up to Big Leagues
Former Ragin’ Cajuns pitcher Danny Farquhar has been called up by the Seattle Mariners from their AAA affiliate in Tacoma.
Farquhar pitched for the Cajuns from 2006-2008.
He’s had one brief stint in the majors, a September callup in 2011 with the Toronto Blue Jays. After Toronto released him, Farquhar signed with the Yankees and was traded to Seattle in the deal that brought Ichiro Suzuki to New York.
He was 0-1 with six saves and a 2.25 ERA at Tacoma.
