Former President Jimmy Carter’s Grandson Dead at 28

Former President Jimmy Carter's grandson, Jeremy Carter, is dead at the age of 28.

He apparently was not feeling well on Saturday so he proceeded to take a nap at his Georgia home. His mom, Annette Carter, hadn't seen him in a while so she stopped in to check on him. His heart had stopped beating. The family tried CPR, but to no avail.

President Carter announced the sad news while teaching a Sunday school class in his hometown of Plains, Georgia. Carter is absolutely resolute about teaching his class, so much so that this family tragedy didn't even stop him.

The coroner has yet to rule on the cause of death.
