It's been a nice run for former UL Ragin' Cajun basketball star Anna Petrakova and her Russian Women's Basketball team. Yesterday, they squeaked out a nail-biter against Turkey 66-63.

The team now moves on to the semifinals on Thursday at 3pm CST against France. The United States team plays Australia in the other semifinal.

In the win against Turkey, Petrakova scored 10 points while scooping up 7 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists.

With a win the Russian team would be assured their best ever finish in any Olympic games. In their history, they've won two bronze medals (2004, 2008).

Good luck Anna! (Go Cajuns!!)
