Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Robert Meachem has been released from jail after making a $100,000 child support and alimony payment to his ex-wife.

You may recall that earlier this week Meachem was given a 30-day sentence by state District Judge Adrian Adams because the ex-football player was behind nearly $400,000 in payments.

Adams gave Meachem a 30-day sentence but ruled that he could leave jail at any time by paying $100,000, which records show he did on Thursday.

Meachem and Andrea Rhodes share custody of their two children. As part of their 2015 divorce settlement, a court ordered Meachem to pay $20,000 per month in child and spousal support.

Meachem played for a total of six seasons with the Saints and one with the San Diego Chargers. He has testified that former business partners have stolen millions from him over the years.
