What is the best place to live in Louisiana? We all know the answer to that question, it's the place where we live right? Well if you live in Broussard, Lafayette, Scott, or Youngsville then you'd actually have a little bit of data to back up your hometown claims.

HomeSnack.net recently conducted a survey of the best places to live in these United States. The survey included Louisiana's largest 109 cities. The criteria for the survey was based on economic conditions as well as crime statistics. Here are the Top 10:

  1. Harahan
  2. Mandeville
  3. Broussard
  4. Zachary
  5. Lafayette
  6. Youngsville
  7. Scott
  8. Sulphur
  9. Covington
  10. Kenner

As you can see there are four New Orleans area suburbs that made the list with Harahan and Mandeville topping the survey. Other NOLA area towns included were Covington and Kenner. Zachary was the lone representative for the Baton Rouge area and Sulphur made the list from Southwest Louisiana.

This isn't the first accolade of this kind for an Acadiana town. Just recently the staff at Wall St 24/7 released findings of their own similar survey and Youngsville actually topped that list.

I guess the bottom line is this. It may not be perfect but where we live is a lot better than some of the other places people have to live.
