Lafayette Police believe they have busted an organized ring of thieves that had been operating in the city over the past few weeks. Police made four arrests on Friday and believe the suspects they have in custody are responsible for over $13,000 in robberies across the area.

On Friday police arrested 18-year-old Precious Landry of Breaux Bridge, 27-year-old Candice Batiste, and 17-year-old Marshell Ward of Carencro. Police also took a 16-year-old male into custody in connection with the string of crimes.

All four suspects are facing multiple charges including charges of felony theft. Police say more charges could be forthcoming as their investigation into the organized theft ring continues.
