According to our news partner KATC, management from Houston held a meeting this morning at Frank's International informing employees of layoffs. KATC has confirmed this information.

Frank's has confirmed company plans to layoff about 150 employees. We truly wish that number was "0", but we know Frank's and the entire industry have been impacted adversely by the decline in energy prices.

From KATC -

"Frank's International confirmed that it will be laying off about 150 workers in Lafayette and other locations Tuesday after announcing the impending layoffs in March.

In April, the oil services company announced it would reduce its workforce of 4,500 employees by 400 to 600. A company spokesperson said the cuts would come in the areas where they are suffering the most."
