A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the Youngsville Fire Chief and his family after their home was destroyed by a fire.

The fire occurred on Memorial Day, and, according to the narrative on the GoFundMe page, 98% of their belongings were lost.

From the GoFundMe page:

The owners of the house are Chief Blair Rivette and Celeste Richard who live there with Celeste’s’ two children, Peyton and Alex. Peyton is a freshman at the University of Lafayette Louisiana and Alex is is going into his senior year at Comeaux High. Peyton is the one who woke up and saw the fire and she was able to wake everyone up and get them safely outside the house before anyone was injured. While they are uninjured they have lost everything inside the house. Thankfully those items can be replaced which is why I created this in hopes that we will be able to pull together as a community and help these people. - Shayna Lane Bolgiano

The page was set up by a friend of the family who is also married to a Youngsville firefighter.
