I had the great pleasure of interviewing the legendary Garth Brooks earlier this morning on the Bruce & the Kennel Club Show.

As always, the "G" Man was down-to-earth and easy to talk to. We got to talking about the biggies he has going on right now -- touring and new music.

I had to ask him the million dollar question (well, at least for all of you). "Garth, when are you coming to play for the good folks of south Louisiana?"

While he wasn't sure exactly when that's going to happen, he did assure us that he will be coming down to Cajun country at some point soon because as he put it we "know how to turn it up".

We also got to talk about his new song "Mom" and you could tell he is just proud as can be for this song.

"My mom also said, 'You ever gonna write a song about me?'", said Garth. "But man, it became mine instantly. I love, love, love this song."

By the way, the new CD is called Man Against Machine and it's available, along with his entire catalog, at www.garthbrooks.com.

You can check out the entire interview with Garth at the interview video below and keep listening to 97.3 The Dawg for the aforementioned new song by him.
