Josephine Bell, 71, was charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty for killing a cat and four kittens with a hammer. Her teenage granddaughter found her pet cat in the fridge.

What could the kids have done to deserve such punishment? Bell threatened the children with losing their pets if they didn't clean their rooms.

As of Tuesday (5/19) Bell remained in jail with a $15,000 bond.
