I'll be the first to admit, I am not a terribly technical person. And I don't want to be, but nowadays you kind of have to be, just to keep up!

MSN has some great Christmas gift ideas that are in the realm of being 'technical', but not too threatening or scary. Just remember, even most grandmas know how to send a text message these days...

  • Amazon Echo Dot - voice controlled, and really cool because it is simple to use, and a pretty good deal at around $50
  • Turntables - not like the ones you used to use in the 60's, but new, updated, modern turntables which can be connected to Bluetooth. Vinyl is back y'all! These will set you back about $200
  • iRobot Roomba 650 - if you've got around $300 to spend, this robotic vacuum cleaner is the coolest thing around
  • Netflix Gift Cards - so they can take advantage of  the unlimited access to thousands of movie titles and original shows. Plans range from about $8 - $11 a month
  • Nintendo Switch - video game console which can be connected to your TV, or even played on the go. Starting at $300, they have been pretty hard to get so far, but that could be changing, according to The Wall Street Journel, who says that the demand has bumped up production for the holidays
  • Seagate Backup Plus - you don't want to lose 10 years worth of digital pictures and videos, do you? These portable hard drives from Seagate Technologies come with a single USB connector and no power cord is needed.
