Half Court Shot Pays For College [Video]
With one child preparing to graduate Lafayette High School and move on to college next year how to pay tuition has been on my mind a lot here lately. I know there are many opportunities for parents and students to afford a quality college education.
Most university systems offer scholarships, grants and low interest loans so college dreams can come true. Then there are universities that do it carnival style. Hit a half court basketball shot and win tuition for school.
The Brandon University Bobcats have such a contest. Brandon is located in Manitoba Canada just in case you were wondering. Their head coach is a gentleman by the name of Gil Cheung. Coach Cheung was asked by student Mason Kaluzniak to attempt at half court basketball shot in a promotion to win free tuition. The coach proved to be a very wise selection for this endeavor.
