Halle Berry Has Filed For Divorce From Olivier Martinez

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are splitting up after only two years of marriage. Halle actually filed the divorce papers and cited irreconcilable differences.

They did have a prenup, so there shouldn't be any fighting over money. However, it is noteworthy that Olivier filed his own petition asking that spousal support be determined at a later date.

The couple has a 2-year-old son named Maceo together. Halle is asking for whatever is "in the best interest of the child." So again, this doesn't sound like it's going to be a nasty divorce.

If Halle wanted to fight for custody, it would seem that she would have the upper hand because it appears a lot of Olivier's issues have dealt with his temper.

Back in 2012, he beat Halle's ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry black and blue outside her house over Thanksgiving. Gabriel and Halle had been fighting over custody of their daughter Nahla.

Then earlier this year Olivier pushed an LAX employee to the ground with Maceo's car seat because the guy was taking video of his family with a cell phone.

A source told People, "He has a violent temper...he has an out of control hair-trigger temper."

Another problem was Halle's custody agreement with Aubry over Nahla, which prevented Halle and Olivier from living in Europe like they wanted to. Olivier hated Los Angeles, and that caused problems too.

Sure sounds like this is a good move for Halle. And some how we think she'll find love again.
