Earlier this year, Halliburton announced it would be laying off 14,000 employees as a result of declining profits as the price of oil continues to decline. The company has just announced they plan on even more lay offs, including management positions in North America. No news on how many of these lay offs in "North America" will find their way down to Acadiana.

Fuelfix.com is reporting that in an internal memo, it states that the company plans to  "flatten the company's business by cutting management posts".

Unfortunately, that's all the news available at this time about this new wave of lay offs. Good luck, and we'll let you know when we hear more news.
