Bayou Country Superfest went down this past weekend at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans and some of the best talent in country music today was on full display.

And then there were legendary performers like Brooks & Dunn and Hank Williams Jr.

It's the latter that did something that caught the attention of folks from Acadiana. During Hank's performance of "A Country Boy Can Survive", he got into one of his infamous ad-libbing stretches during the song and the result is what you will hear below.

That's right, some love for Gueydan and New Iberia! (And another reference in between to "Guidry" perhaps?)

Last time I saw him live he mentioned Breaux Bridge and fishing at Lake Martin.

From all I've heard, Bocephus has actually spent a lot of time over the years in Cajun country. He apparently does a good bit of hunting and fishing in our neck of the country.

Well played Hank, well played.
