Happy 100th Birthday, Girl Scouts!

The Girl Scouts of America are celebrating their 100 year anniversary, and are rolling out the festivities with a brand new cookie! Savannah Smiles, weighing in at about 28 calories each, are crunchy, lemon-flavored cookies shaped like smiles and dusted with powdered sugar, and are meant to pay homage to founder Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low. Love, love, love to the Girl Scouts for this one!

Not only was I a Girl Scout, but I was the Cookie Mom for my daughter Courtney's troop back in the day. So the start of cookie season always holds a special place in my heart. And....I actually broke my arm at Girl Scout Camp when I was 10 years old! I have great, great, memories of being a Scout.. Hooray for the Girl Scouts, and Happy Birthday from 97.3 the DAWG!
