Unfortunately the term "going postal" is not a very flattering term to the men and women of the United States Postal Service, but it should be. The people who sort and deliver your mail are among the best friends you can have in a neighborhood. I wonder how many would be bad guys have been turned away because a letter carrier was paying attention to his route? Or how many elderly citizens got help because a postal work showed extra kindness in the performance of his duties. This Saturday you and I can help our letter carriers Stamp Out Hunger.

Just leave non-perishable food items at your mailbox for your mail person to pick up, they will take care of the rest. You may have gotten a card in your mailbox yesterday as a reminder to help stamp out hunger this weekend. Thank you to the men and women of the USPS you truly are good neighbors.
