The 2011 LHSAA has unveiled their 2011 high school football playoff brackets, with numerous Acadiana area teams involved in the field.

It’s a format that features 32 teams in five separate classifications.

The playoffs begin on Friday, November 11, and conclude on the weekend of  Friday, December 9, and Saturday, December 10, at the Mercedes Benz Superdome, in New Orleans, La.

Carencro, Acadiana, New Iberia, and Westgate are the class 5A teams representing the Acadiana area, while St. Thomas More, Breaux Bridge, Teurlings Catholic, Cecilia, and St. Martinville are in the 4A bracket.

In class 3A, the Acadiana area teams are Notre Dame, Church Point, Eunice, Jennings, Crowley, North Vermilion, and Kaplan.

Class 2A is represented by Catholic-New Iberia, Loreauville, Ville Platte, Lake Arthur, and Jeanerette, while the 1A teams are Vermilion Catholic, Central Catholic-Morgan City, Westminster, Hanson, Basile, and Sacred Heart-Ville Platte.
