Those of you who are Honey Boo Boo fans are probably familiar with her uncle, Lee Thompson, better known as "Uncle Poodle." Uncle Poodle did an interview with Fenuxe, a gay magazine out of Atlanta, where he announced his hopes for a future TV show of his own. Why, you ask?

This is because Lee is an open homosexual himself who just so happens to also be HIV positive. He told the magazine that he was tested once in March and the test came back negative. However, he was tested again two months later and it came back positive.

"I knew it had been my boyfriend who infected me. I later learned he had been HIV positive and was not taking medication and had not bothered to tell me about it. I was advised that I should press charges and, hesitantly, I did. It was the right thing to do."

For Lee, this interview was his way of promoting safe sex for those, as he calls them, "damn fools" who aren't being careful. He also talked about his experience with bullying in high school after he came out.

He explains that his objective for the TV show would be to focus on the realities of the life of a gay man in the south.
