Horse Racing – The Musical [Video]

Even though it is sport, there is something very musical about the delivery and banter of a well oiled sports broadcast crew. By well oiled I mean not inebriated  like Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshier or our own Bobby Hebert, I am talking about a great chemistry.

Our own Ragin Cajun Broadcast Crew has that kind of smoothness about them, so do the guys on the LSU Tiger Network too. Still I think the most lyrical of all the sports broadcasters are the announcers at race tracks. Not the NASCAR tracks, the horse racing tracks. If you don't believe me, just listen how musical announcer Tom Durkin is with his call of this race from Belmont Park.
