Hottest Night Of The Year In Downtown Lafayette Tonight

On Monday everybody is back at school. That means tonight we've still got time for one more party and we are having it in Downtown Lafayette. The 'Hottest Night Of The Year" is not only a tip of the hat to the August temperatures but it's going to be a hot night of fun.

Downtown will be turned into a water park of sorts. There will be pick up trucks that have become swimming pools. The fountains at Parc San Souci will be splashing their refreshing waters for kids of all ages. DJ Digital will be spinning tunes and one of Acadiana's favorite party bands One Trick Pony will take the stage.

The event is free although there will be charges for food and drink. If you think of it as Downtown Alive with water slides then you get the idea of what is in store for your and your family tonight. Remember to bring a towel and a change of clothes if you plan on staying downtown after the festivities.
