As someone who sleeps odd hours it is not unusual for me to be awakened for reasons that I don't deem urgent. Issues such as can you help me find my socks, do you know why the internet won't work, and could you carry this piano, can usually wait, but often they don't.  So, I do understand being angry about being awakened. I don't understand what happened in Houma the other day at all.

58 year old Ray Carlos of Houma was evidently sleeping very soundly in his bed in the wee small hours of Sunday morning. Carlos was awakened from his slumber by the sound of someone pounding on a neighbors door. That someone was 29 year old James Rube. Apparently Rube was trying to get the attention of his former girlfriend by banging on her front door.

Mr. Carlos allegedly exited his bed and his home carrying a shotgun. He and Mr. Rube evidently got into an altercation. A shot was fired and Mr. Rube was killed by a single shotgun blast to the head. Mr. Carlos has been charged with second degree murder and is currently being held in the Terrebone Parish Jail.
