There has been so many times I have either boiled my egg too long, causing the yolk to turn green, or did not boil the egg long enough, which resulted in mushy yolk. I love boiling several hard boiled eggs at once because they can always be used for something. Whether it is a quick snack on-the-go or a delicious chicken salad for lunch.

Here is how you boil the perfect hard-boiled egg:

  • Place the eggs in a sauce pan and add enough cold water to cover.
  • Bring the water to a boil and immediately turn off the heat. Let the eggs sit in the pan for 15 minutes.
  • Remove the eggs to a bowl of ice water and let sit.
