Hunter Hayes Phones Shooting Victim

Well, if this isn't proof that our home town boy Hunter Hayes was raised right (here in south Louisiana!) then I don't know what is. An 18 year old fan, Martha Childress, who attended one of Hunter's concerts over the weekend was later hit by a stray bullet, and is not expected to walk again. Her friends and family started a Twitter campaign to get Hunter to reach out to the hospitalized fan....and he did. She later Tweeted about it. Read more about the story at countrymusicislove.com.

So nice to see that Hunter is using his fame in a positive light, to help someone. Good for him!
