Back on November 21st, 23-year-old Matthew Webb and his 24-year-old friend Audrey Mayo were hanging out on a rooftop in LaFayette, Georgia (you know, the other Lafayette) when they saw some deer trot on by.

So Matthew did what any red-blooded Southern boy would do, he grabbed his gun and went chasing them.

Audrey stayed behind. At some point she thought Matthew was shouting her name, so she headed into the woods looking for him and accidentally got shot!

You guessed it, he thought she was a deer and he shot her. Now, she didn’t just get grazed by the bullet, she got hit square in the knee and almost bled out!

Luckily she survived. When she woke up in the hospital several days later, Matthew was right there next to her.

You would expect Audrey to be some kind of mad at Matthew. Wrong answer. The two are now dating!!

Matthew is facing legal trouble after the incident, since he was on drugs at the time of the shooting. But, he recently moved into Audrey’s mom’s house to help take care of Audrey while she recovers.

Meanwhile, neither Audrey or her family blames Matthew, saying it was just an accident. Instead they’re trying to find the humor in it.

Wow!
