Motorist who travel Interstate 10 from Lafayette to Baton Rouge eastbound this morning should expect delays. That is the word from Louisiana State Police. The reason for the delay is the movement of oil field equipment from Bosco in Acadia Parish area to Pierre Part in Assumption Parish.

This oilfield equipment is needed to help drill a relief well near a sinkhole that developed in Assumption Parish late last week. Motorist should be aware that this convoy of equipment and over sized loads could cause considerable delays during the morning rush hour. Motorist are encourage to check the LSP facebook page for updates and stay tuned to 97.3 The Dawg for updated traffic information.
