Iberia Parish Detectives Make Drug Arrests

After a one month investigation, narcotics agents with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a home on Highway 89, and they discovered methamphetamine.

Investigators says they seized 41 grams of crystal meth packaged for street sales.  They also seized some cash along with items used for making and distributing meth.

Two arrests were made.  Deputies arrested 36-year-old Thomas Towery of 6609 Highway 89, Lot 19 from Youngsville was charged with:

• Possession with Intent to Distribute Crystal Methamphetamine
• Monies Derived from Drug Transactions
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Presence of a Juvenile

Police also arrested 41-year-old Joseph Riles of 4114 Darabeth Road in Youngsville.  They charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia.
