Watch what happens as this insane buzzer beater wins a high school basketball championship for New Rochelle in the New York State Championship game. This was the true definition of a buzzer beater. The shot was so close even the referees had to stop and talk it over. In fact it was so close, both teams thought they were the winner of the game.

With 2.9 seconds left in the game New Rochelle was trailing Mount Vernon by two points. The in bound pass was not cleanly handled but a lucky bounce put the ball in the hands of a New Rochelle player and heaved the ball toward the goal.
