I've always heard the buzz about meditation and 'living in the present.' In this crazy, fast-paced world we live in, I'm starting to wonder if meditating is really worth the time and practice. I discovered interesting findings which may help you decide to meditate.

If you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, this quote is helpful: “The place to be happy is here. The time to be happy is now.” ~Robert G. Ingersoll. Meditation can really help you live in the present moment which is important because in life we are constantly thinking ahead. We think about what we have to do in a week, month, or even year. No wonder time flies by.

Furthermore, meditation and mindfulness helps us be in full control of our emotions and way of thinking. Once we feel in tune with ourselves, we can help others more easily. Isn't that what life is about - helping others and being kind? I sure think so. Sometimes we can't help but to be selfish and think selfishly. Often times we play the victim card and feel sorry for ourselves. Life is good, people! We have everything we need right now. Appreciate it.

Take the time each day to meditate, reflect, and practice selfless love. You will notice a big difference. With that said, I will leave you with one of my favorite songs right now - Frankie Ballard's "Helluva Life."
