Sicily is home to Mount Etna. The mountain has been quiet for several years but over the past few days it has become a lot more active actually erupting in a giant cloud of ash and steam. Included in the ash and steam is a large volume of rock. This rock is thrust skyward by the force of the eruption. What goes up must come down so the residents of Sicily are getting out their umbrellas for a different reason.
