It's not at the one billion dollar mark yet but it's growing in that direction. There is good news and bad news following Wednesday's national Powerball Lottery drawing. The bad news is you didn't win if you played. The good news is if you play again on Saturday you could be in line to win a lot more money.

The current Powerball jackpot amount is going to be an estimated $251 million when the ping pong balls start bouncing just before 10 PM local time Saturday. There was no big winner in the Wednesday night drawing. In fact there was only one major money prize awarded in the April 20th drawing. That was for the Match Five feature of the game. That winning ticket was worth $1-million and was sold in North Dakota.

Remember there are several different ways to win playing the Powerball game. Tickets must be purchased at least one hour before the actual drawing. That means sales of Powerball tickets will be closed shortly before 9 PM on Saturday night.

By the way, if you're wondering how much of $251 million would be going home with you should you win and take the cash option. You can plan on a deposit of approximately $161 million in your bank account. Good luck! Remember you must be 21 to play any lottery games in the state of Louisiana .
