Former Ragin' Cajun great and Breaux Bridge native Jake Delhomme will address the fall graduates at his alma mater this Friday.

The 2015 commencement's general assembly for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is scheduled for 11am at the Cajundome and Convention Center.

Delhomme, a 2001 graduate of UL, guided the Carolina Panthers to the Super Bowl in 2004. He ended his college career as the university's all-time passing leader in both yards (9,216) and touchdowns (64).

He retired from the NFL in 2011, following brief stints with Cleveland and Houston.

Jake now resides in his hometown with his wife and two daughters and is active in the thoroughbred horse racing industry.
