Jason Aldean and fiancee Brittany Kerr are waiting for it to warm up before they sign marriage paperwork. The star singer reveals a plan to wed this summer, despite earlier chatter that he and Kerr would tie the knot over the winter holiday season.

Aldean notes that the ceremony will be "pretty small and low-key." While there are countless fans who would want to attend the "Burnin' It Down" singer's wedding, he says that they are only planning to invite close friends and family.

"The wedding will be fun. I've gotten some characters showing up," Aldean tells CMT's Cody Alan (quote via Country Music Is Love) of the guest list.

The star hasn't yet decided whether he wants to have a bachelor party, but if he does, he knows there's only one way to go: go big or go home. Referencing the popular movie The Hangover, Aldean notes, "If we really get after it, on a scale of 1 to 10, it’s going to be a 6+ for sure, especially with some of the ones that are coming.”

Kerr is a former American Idol contestant, so many fans have wondered about the possibility of a future collaboration or duet between the pair. When asked, Aldean says he isn't quite sure that will ever happen.

"[She’s] really soulful, has cool, raspy kind of voice … I dig listening to her sing," he says of his bride-to-be, "but I think some of the stuff that her and I have gone through over the last couple of years she’s like ‘Eh eh, I don’t want any part of that,’ so she gets enough of it, I think, hanging out with me."

Aldean and ex-wife Jessica divorced in 2013. In addition to getting married again this summer, the star will be headlining his Burn It Down tour. Find dates here.
