Getting left at the alter, is no picnic, but a Sacramento bride and her family turned a very painful event into something really special for some less fortunate folks in the area. 27 year old Quinn Duane only had a few days to recover from the shock of being jilted a week before her wedding, and decide what to do with all of the food that was going to be at the Sacramento Banquet Hall on Saturday. Everything was paid for, and it was too late to cancel, so Quinn and her family invited the city's homeless, and less fortunate, to feast on the 4 star dishes that were to serve the expected 120 invited guests at the wedding.

Even though the bride to be chose to stay home with friends, the banquet hall was filled with grateful families, who were very sympathetic to why they were getting this gourmet treat. The honeymoon was also completely paid for, and non refundable, so Quinn and her mother are taking the trip to Belize.

The Duane family really deserves a gold medal for turning their pain into something wonderful and amazing, for some folks who really needed some good news, and a hot meal. Well done...
