Josh Brolin and Diane Lane are going their separate ways. A little more than eight years after they tied the knot, the Cinema Verite actress, 48, and her "Gangster Squad" actor husband, 45, have split.

"It was a mutual decision. It is very amicable. It's not ugly, it's just over," a source said.

The A-listers, constantly photographed together on the red carpet, have no children together.

From 1988 to 1994, Brolin, 45, was married to actress Alice Adair, with whom he had two children. Lane, 48, was married to actor Christopher Lambert, with whom she has a daughter. They also divorced in 1994.

I guess this won't sit well with the mother in law - Barbra Streisand - since Josh Brolin's dad, actor James Brolin is Barbra's hubby. Keeping a good thought for them - divorce totally sucks.
