Kenny Rogers, a beloved  member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, announced his plans to retire this morning, on NBC's 'The Today Show'. He will begin his annual Christmas tour on November 11, with 23 cities in the US, and then head out on one last World Tour before calling it quits.The 77 year old said he wants to spend more time with his wife and kids.

You might remember that Kenny Rogers was the first performer at the Cajundome when it opened on November 11,1985. His 6th holiday album 'Once Again it's Christmas', is out in stores today. We will sure miss seeing the Gambler out on the road - good luck, Kenny!
