With all the horrible stories you hear about traveling through airports and security here is one that will make you believe in the kindness and goodness of the human heart and soul. It is the kind of story that would make me want to fly Southwest Airlines for the rest of my life. I do encourage you to get a hanky as you read this story. There is goodness still left in this world.

"Are you Mark? We held the plane for you and we're so sorry about the loss of your grandson," the pilot reportedly said. "They can't go anywhere without me and I wasn't going anywhere without you. Now relax. We'll get you there. And again, I'm so sorry."

I know business have schedules to keep and airlines have to be on time, but every now and then we need to be reminded that the individual is worth it. Sometimes the circumstances are so extraordinary that the right thing is the only thing to do.
