The holiday season is all about traditions, some that make perfect sense and others that make you wonder. Kissing under the mistletoe has always been a favorite tradition of mine. It ranks right up there with egg nog and the leaving of cookies for Santa, but did you know there is a lot more to the mistletoe tradition?

Another custom required all the Mistletoe in the house to be burned on Twelfth Night , or the couples who kissed under it will never marry.

So if you want to thrill your holiday guests with your knowledge of ancient Christmas customs, read just a bit futher and you will be the life of your holiday party, at least until that guy puts the lamp shade on his head.
