Lady Antebellum‘s Hillary Scott tied the knot with love Chris Tyrrell on Jan. 7, and while she had the dream wedding complete with a custom Vera Wang gown, the new bride says she’s not missing any of the pre-wedding stress. In an interview with Reverb, she says life after the wedding has been incredible, especially since she gets to be on tour with her husband.

“Things are in such a beautiful place,” she says of being on the biggest tour of their career right after her wedding. “I have to be honest, having the stress off of planning a wedding — we’re having a ball [now that it's over]. It’s one of those things where we’re breathing a little bit easier. We’re excited to be married. Chris plays drums with us. We’re on the road together with our puppy. It’s a traveling family. And now we can focus on the show.”

Though she enjoyed her wedding, she admits the planning phase was not something she ever wishes to go back to.

“I was so stressed about wedding planning, and sometimes it would creep into the show,” she says. “Thank God we’re not doing that anymore.”

About the Own The Night Tour with Darius Rucker and Thompson Square, she says she’s full of excitement rather than nervousness, though when she has to play on live TV, that plays with her nerves.

“The big awards shows and ‘Saturday Night Live’ — that was one of the most nervous times I’ve ever experienced,” Scott says. “But more than anything, we’re excited. When we saw how well tickets were selling, the outpouring of the fans spending their hard-earned money to see us, we couldn’t believe it.”

Lady A recently announced a string of 11 new European dates for their Own The Night Tour, spanning across Scandinavia, Great Britain and Germany, beginning July 1o in Dublin, Ireland. The trio will also be presenting at the 2012 Grammy Awards, where they’re up for an award for Best Country Album.
