United Airlines has announced that they will offer nonstop service from Lafayette Regional Airport to Denver International Airport starting August 19th.

There will be one arriving flight and one departing flight in a 50-seater plane each day. The Denver flight will leave at 9:55am MST and arrive in Lafayette at 1:39pm CST. The outbound flight will leave Lafayette at 4:00pm CST and arrive in Denver at 5:50pm MST.

"Our data showed there is enough demand from business and leisure travelers to Denver to warrant adding the new destination," Lafayette Airport Commission Chairman Matt Cruse said, "and we are pleased that United Airlines has agreed and added a 50-seat regional jet for daily service between Lafayette and Denver. Now it will be up to the public, and their response to this new service."

With the addition of Denver, Lafayette Regional Airport now offers direct flights to four cities total, including Atlanta, Houston and Dallas.
