Courtesy GMC Buick in Lafayette has teamed up with Lafayette parish high schools to launch an innovative campaign to award one school with a new SUV valued at over $25,000. Terrain Giveaway will give students the opportunity to sing, dance or cheer their way to winning a 2013 GMC Terrain for their school.

Students will first need to create a funny, creative or moving video that explains why their school deserves the new ride. Then they will upload their video to www.terraingiveaway.com where their family and friends can vote on their favorite video. Each student in the winning video will receive an iPod shuffle and the video with the most votes based on their school's total enrollment will win the new 2013 GMC Terrain. The winning school will then have the opportunity to use the vehicle to raise money for their school via a fundraiser of their choosing.

“I’m excited about the partnership with the Lafayette Parish School System while also giving local high school students an opportunity to win such a substantial prize for their school,” said Brady Bowen, General Manager of Lafayette Courtesy GMC Buick.  “This partnership is a great example of our commitment to our local communities where we live, work and learn.”

“This partnership allows our students to show off their school pride while displaying their talent,” said Sandra Billeaudeau, LPSS Assistant Superintendent.
