As evidenced in this video from KATC TV3, Cajun Sno, a landmark in Lafayette, suffered severe damage in a fire this past week.

Ask anyone in Acadiana if they've ever heard of Cajun Sno, and most will have their eyes light up with thoughts of a "stuffed" sno-ball!.  Or the Pink Lady, or the Strawberry Cherry, or the Pina Colada, or the...  (you get the idea; everyone has their favorite!!).  I was having a conversation with my friends Amy and Haley, and they said that, off the menu, a delicious flavor to order is the half cotton candy/half green apple: they claim it tastes like a candied apple!

Anyway, on Friday, January 15, the business experienced a fire that severely damaged the building. In a post on Cajun Sno's Facebook page, the owners reassured those of us with a sweet tooth for this Acadiana treasure:

Okay so yes the snoball stand has been demolished today due to a fire that happened Jan. 15th 😢😢. However we are rebuilding and should be up and running before the spring!!! Sorry for the inconvenience, but it will be bigger and better. See y'all soon!!!!!!! LAFAYETTE STRONG!!!!! - Cajun Sno

Before Springtime?  It'll be worth the wait!!  I will have to try the "Candied Apple" now that I am aware of that flavor combination!
