Former Northside Viking Daniel Cormier headlined UFC 173 Saturday night and didn't disappoint, choking out former champion Dan Henderson.

Cormier is undefeated in the light heavyweight division and clearly the #1 contender. Following his dominant performance Saturday night, the Lafayette native called out the current champion, Jon Jones.

"Jon Jones, you can't run away from me forever. I'm the kid in the wrestling tournament that is in your bracket," shouted Cormier in his post-fight interivew. "You'd better hurry because I'm getting better. I know no one can wrestle me so it doesn't matter. If I decide to take Jon Jones down 100 times, I will. This is my Octagon! I'm the man!"

A former three-time Louisiana wrestling state champion at Northside, Cormier was a high school All-American wrestler. He's mixed his wrestling skills with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to become one of the best fighters on the planet.

Jon Jones, the ball is in your court. A challenge has been given. When will you accept?
